Thought's on the play "School Bag"

The play first began with a short play called 'the graduate' which spoke about the how society looks upon individuals and judge them one their appearance and who their parents and they are in society. It involved the troubles of teenagers who members in society thought of them as being the one to make something about themselves. The pastors daughter who in the end ended up getting pregnant and dropping out of school to have a child with the so call "ghetto" bwoy. they had the playa playa who thought of partying, drinking and getting the girls. In the end the girl who wwas thought as nothing, poor invisible in society came out and out shined them all for she kept stand firm believed in herself and became THE GRADUATE!

"School Bag" on the other hand comprised in the classroom of young individuals. The classroom was segregated into groups/cliques. There was the goody too shoes, the rebels and the outcast. In the play it displayed the trials that some individuals go through in their everyday lives as being afraid to speak out and talk to someone and get help. In the cliques the rebels comprised of the hot girl who felt they were the "it" who stole and had sex just to fit in with the crowd. They encouraged violence and picked on people just to make themselves better which in the end they regreted it all. There was the goody to shoes who were all about getting an education in particular one girl who was the leader she displayed courage in not being afraid to talk out and speak her mind. She told them how it is whether they liked it or not because she knew she was in charge of herself not anyone else. And then the was the outcast which nobody seemed to notice, she stayed alone in her little space with her hair covered in her face and always was in her little red book writing. The play drawed attention to the fat girl to all who was always eating and scorned for her wait. Just to fit in she became anorexic and threw up what she ate. But it was proved whether your big or small the hatred of peer pressure just keeps coming. As she lost the weight it still was not good enough for it just kept coming worst. It later displayed the relationships between parents and their children through a scene with a boy and his father. Which shows that the relationship between parents and their children are not always great and do not always see eye to eye. Peer pressure was one of the main factors pointed out of this play and at the end violence came into play leading to the death of an individual.
In the end the main focus was on the outcast who had the major issues going on in her life but everyone was too wrapped up with their own life and situation to take a look at her. In that book she wrote about every classmate and how she admired them and why but it was too late in the end to help or reach out for her because she had already taken her own life.

PS. i thought it was a great play with the whole concept and everything but it was just toooo.... short.
