King Lear was not only a father but a leader over a kingdown. He was a man who liked to pleased and very gullable. He liked praised and easily fed off the words of other who gave him flattery. It is proved that the sweeten words that he feeds off of others lead to his blindness and downfall. By given his Kingdom to his evil daughters and disowning Cordelia it further sees that it lies and sweet words really buys love. He later saw that Goneril and Regan was not looking out for his best interest, they had plans of their own, Edmund also has his own ascension . The reader begins to see that Lear has given up his authority over his children and Britain.
King layer took no precaution to safeguard his wealth he gave it all away to his daughters who had no interest in his well being and didn't love him enough to take care of him in return. Goneril and Regan in which he gave everything left him with nothing that when he was in trouble and in need for them they could of cared less. Cordelia who he banished in return gave up her life to fight a battle which lead to her death. In the end his death was due to his downfall and blindness of his rash decisions.
TRAGIC FLAW OF KING LEAR
- His first flaw was arrogance
- Foolishness in his decision making
-Blindness for he could not behind Goneril and Regan lies.
