Significance of Baba

Baba was a mentally challeged individual who played a significant part in the play. In the beginning he was isolated and neglected by his parents. and in which Bimla had him as her main attention in which she took care of him and placed him first and Raja, it's because of them why she refused her engagement. As time passed and most thing changed it didn't for Baba for he professed the attributes of a baby that cannot do anything for himself. Baba signifies the essence of non changing in which as the years go by he still says the same. He also plays the role of keeping the family together, if it wasn't for Baba Tara would not come for any visits or even reflect on Bimla and Raja would have left and forgotton about Bimla and Old Dehli.
